Emerging from the vibrant cultural tapestry of Goa, Jovah is the Indo House alias of Jonas Castilho Monteiro, a genre-bending producer and guitarist with a deep-rooted passion for rhythm and soul. At the crossroads of continents and cultures, Jovah’s music is a seamless fusion of deep Afro grooves, organic percussion, emotive guitar melodies, and rich Indian influences, crafting a sound that feels both ancestral and futuristic.
Jovah is an artist from India pioneering a unique sound he calls Indo House — a powerful fusion of tribal Afro rhythms and melodic elements inspired by India’s rich musical heritage. His music blends hypnotic grooves, spiritual textures, and emotional melodies to create immersive dancefloor experiences.
With releases including “The Rise,” “We Rise Together,” “Dumba,” and “Mantra,” Jovah continues to explore the meeting point between Afro-inspired rhythms and Indian musical identity. While “Dumba” channels infectious percussion and driving grooves, “Mantra” reflects the deeper, spiritual dimension of his sound. Together, these releases represent an evolving sonic identity rooted in cultural storytelling, emotion, and movement.
Beyond the studio, Jovah is expanding his artistic vision through A Night with Jovah, his own event IP built around the music, people, and atmosphere that
define his world. More than a DJ showcase, the concept brings together house music, immersive visual environments, and a community of artists and friends, creating a space where sound, culture, and shared experiences become one.
It represents a natural extension of his philosophy: bringing people together through music that transcends boundaries. Driven by authenticity and a desire to connect cultures, Jovah’s vision is to build a musical bridge between India, Africa, and the wider international electronic music community. Through his productions, DJ performances, and carefully curated events, he creates hypnotic dancefloor moments that balance ancestral influences with a forward-looking electronic sound.
With his roots in India and his sights set on the world, Jovah continues to shape his place within the evolving Indo Afro House movement — one rhythm, one
story, and one dancefloor at a time.
